Oh, hello October, where did you spring from?  I’ve been a little quiet on here recently - I’ve lost my Instagram mojo over the Summer. Life + Coronavirus + Brexit do not = “tranquilo” working conditions, I can tell you! But I’m quietly working away behind the scenes on a few things that I’m hoping to be able to share with you soon . . .

. . . and just like that, I’m back! It feels so

. . . and just like that, I’m back!

It feels sooo good to be back at my desk again. A return to “normality” I suppose you could say. It’s been a strange old Summer, hasn’t it? Mind you, the whole of 2020 so far has been strange!

Our plans for the Summer didn’t quite pan out how we had envisioned them. My husband’s work rota was disrupted after lockdown, so he’s been away for most of it. We didn’t get to explore the Island as planned. However, it has meant that I’ve been able to make the space, and the time, to relax and recharge my batteries properly.

I also had to take an unplanned trip to Scotland - my dad is really poorly (not Covid related) - so I flew back to Scotland to be able to see him. It was the first time I’d managed to get back since February. And, although I had to quarantine for 14 days - during which time I had my birthday - I did manage to see him a couple of times before I returned. Albeit through a hospital window.

It’s at times like these that I am so grateful for my small business - it allows me the freedom to run it around my life, instead of the other way around.   So tell me, what are you grateful for at the moment?
