I’ve been thinking about creating some sort of G

I’ve been thinking about creating some sort of Gift Guide for a while, but wanted to do something a wee bit different . . .

Over the past year, I’ve been part of an Insta friends group - together we’ve completed the @me_and_orla Insta Retreat and Instagram Summer School. We’ve been there for each other - liking, commenting, sharing and generally cheering each other on when we’ve needed it the most. Friendships have been formed, and I’ve even managed to meet a couple of them in real life too!

Every single one of them is incredibly talented in their field, and I am proud to call them friends - and I’d use like to say a huge thank you to them all for just being there. So, my gift to them is the gift of sharing - I do hope you enjoy their work . . .

@floriginstudio (Florist) - Flowers, sustainable wreaths, seasonal workshops.

@katmeetsmouse (Pattern Designer) - Passionate about patterns, painting vibrant watercolours is my happy place and unabashedly partial to the colour blue.

@loneowlstudio (Vegan Clothes & Personalised Gifts for Slow Living Nature Lovers) - Simple and classic sweatshirts and t-shirts, minimalist practical gifts, % of every sale donated to animal charities.

@bouscandles (Lake District Candles & Melts) - Storytelling through sniffs: exclusive scents; essential oils & soy wax; candles, wax melts, diffusers, etc.

I’ve been looking through some of my old design

I’ve been looking through some of my old design work, and I found this photo of the exhibition panels I designed for the visitor centre at the Portsoy Salmon Bothy @salmonbothy

This project is definitely up there in my top ten favourite design projects that I’ve worked on - local history and heritage will always have a special place in my heart.

And just why have I been going through all of my past work you may ask? Well, it’s for something exciting that is going to be happening in the new year! 😉

I’ve been absent from these squares again - life has gotten in the way a wee bit - but I’m still here, quietly working away in the background. 👋🏻

I just wanted to pop on and say it’s okay to sometimes feel like the duck in this photo - calmly gliding across the surface of this pond called life, whilst under the water paddling like crazy!
